Tobacco Cessation

Abbott wants to help you kick your tobacco or nicotine habit for good — that includes quitting vaping, too! Whether you’ve tried quitting before or this is your first time, check out these programs and resources so you can make this year your year.

PErsonalized Approach to Quitting

When you’re ready to quit, speak with a Tobacco Cessation Health Coach to determine the best quit plan for you. Contrary to their name, the Health Coaches are for anyone with a tobacco or nicotine habit — not just tobacco users. The program supports the Surgeon General’s evidence-based intervention guidelines, and includes a five-session model with a personal assessment. Your Health Coach will even call you at six months to assess your progress.

Schedule Your First Call

Free Over-the-counter support

Not every quitting technique works for everyone. For some, over-the-counter (OTC) nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) medications such as Nicorette Gum is the winning solution. When you enroll in the Tobacco Cessation program, you will have the option to receive certain OTC support for free and they’re even mailed to your home.

All U.S. employees, even those who waived Abbott health plan coverage, and spouses and partners enrolled in an Abbott health plan.
